Enerco Energy Started Gas Importation And Wholesale By 1st April 2009

‘Contract Release Tender’ held by BOTAŞ on November 2005; for the transfer of 4bcm Gazprom Export contract dated 18.02.1998 to new importers; in accordance with the provisions of Natural Gas Market Law 4646 Temporary Article 2; is finalized by the beginning of 2009.

By the Import License granted by EMRA on 31.12.2008 and by finalization of contract release process on 17.03.2009 Enerco is awarded to import and wholesale 2,5 bcm natural gas (approximately 26,6 kWh) annually until 2022 and became the biggest gas supplier following Botas.

Enerco Energy started the importation of gas in Turkey on 01.April.2009. Enerco’s customers are Organized Industrial Zones and industrial consumers within the regions of Bursa, Eskisehir, Cerkezkoy, Antalya, Usak, Kayseri and Gebze.

Enerco, feels proud and responsible as being the pioneer of such an important step in reaching Turkey’s target of structuring a liberalized natural gas market. Consciously, Enerco aims to be pioneer for further steps to be taken to reach a competitive, transparent, financially sound and stable market structure.
